Treasurer Mike Groom presented financial reports and explained for newer members the accounts the club has and how they work. The Foundation Account is the club account which houses all charitable donations and proceeds from fundraisers, from which distributions to the various charities and projects are made, Groom explained. From that account, distributions total approximately $27,000 for the six months; given back generously to the community they serve with a special emphasis on the area’s children. "Klothes for Kids 2016"The annual Cedar Creek Lake Rotary Club Klothes for Kids event was held on November 1st and 2nd. The event benefits underprivileged children in our local community. 50 students are paired with CCL Rotary members, Rotary Interact students and other volunteers to go shopping at a local retail store for winter necessities such as coats, shoes, socks, pants, shirts, etc. Both the volunteers and children have lots of fun looking for that "just right" item that brightens the child's day and better prepares them for the upcoming cooler weather.
